Frequently Asked Questions - Development

Q. I'm interested in getting a new website built, can you give me a ball-park estimate?

A. The short answer is, No. Your website is perhaps the most visible marketing tool you have and that should not be taken lightly. The best practice you can use is to put together in writing a Request for Proposal. This document does not have to be a 30 page document, just a clear outline of what you want to get across to your audience, how you basically see the visual aspect of the pages and what your ultimate goal is. Remember: the more information we get, the clearer more accurate quote you recieve.

Q. How long does a website take to build?

A. It depends on timing, and complexity.

Q. What is the difference between a "data-driven" website and a "static" website?

A. Data-driven websites receive content from a database table - often used in content management systems. Static websites are designed and coded and may only be modified by changing the website code.

Q. Who owns the actual website?

A. Absolute 0's policy is that once the fee is paid in full, we release copyright to the client. Up until then, the copyright remains with Absolute 0 unless otherwise agreed in a statement of work.
