Eudora Lite

Upon running Eudora Light for the first time, the initial screen that appears is options.

We do not have an ACAP Server, so the Auto Configure will not work. On the left hand toolbar, scroll the whole way to the top and click on the button entitled Getting Started.

To the right, once you click on the icon, you'll see that it asks for a small amount of information. The POP account would be the same as your screen name. (ie: [username]@[yourdomain.com]) In the box entitled 'Real name' enter in what you want people to see next to your screen name when they read their e-mail. In the return address line type in the same name as the POP account. Finally, choose 'Winsock' as your connection method. Make sure when entering both the POP account name and the Return address, that both are all in lower case. When done, click the 'OK' button.

Now the Eudora Light mail client screen appears. Click 'File' in the upper left corner and on the drop down menu that appears, click 'Check Mail'. It's going to tell you that you have a Corrupt Mailbox.

Since there has never been a mailbox used yet, I'm not sure why this message comes up, so click on 'Create New'. It will then tell you that it was created using Summaries from the old table of contents.

Click on 'OK' to continue. Finally, the Enter Password screen appears.

Simply type in the password for your account and click on OK. It's all setup. Try to send yourself a piece of e-mail as a test to make sure it's working properly. If it's not, please feel free to call the ABSOLUTE 0 Support Center at 330-721-4600.
